Super Hydrating Smoothie (or pudding)

This extra thick smoothie contains celery and mango, both prized for there ability to rehydrate the body and replenish salt and vitamins lost after a workout.  Electrolyte rich celery is actually FOUR times more hydrating than water, so drink up!  I personally don’t like the taste of celery, and found this to be a suprisingly delicious way to get it into my system.

  •  2 fresh or frozen bananas
  •  2 ripe mangos
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 2 cups packed spinach
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 1/2-1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

 Blend all ingredients, except chia seeds, in a Vitamix.  Add just enough water to allow ingredients to blend.  Stir in chia seeds.  Makes one quart smoothie or pudding.
