Cholesterol Tips

Changes that have helped people in my life lower their cholesterol naturally*:

  • Chia Seeds!  Consume 3-4 tablespoons of chia gel per day.  The soluable fiber will strip excess cholesterol from your body and the Omega 3s will help reduce inflammation.
  • Increase fiber consumption (include quinoa, brown rice with black beans, lentils, etc. into your diet)
  • Alternate between Beet Drink and Green Smoothies on most days of the week
  • Add ground flax, sesame (said to lower cholesterol), pumpkin, and sunflower seeds to your diet (add to smoothies, soups, salads, etc.)
  • Limit coffee and alcohol consumption
  • Limit consumption of animal/dairy products
  • Exercise!
